Hello, my name is Jeremy Thompson and this is my amazing wife Lindsey and two wonderful children Madelynn and Max.

I am the owner and managing partner of Swift Moves LLC in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born and raised in Temple,TX, I moved to Florida in 1998 and starting attending the University of South Florida in Saint Petersburg shortly after. While earning my bachelors degree in business management I worked for a local moving company first as a helper, then a driver and was eventually asked to be part of the management team. Working here not only showed me how to run a successful moving company but also it taught me that you must always treat the customer right, the employees fairly and it’s OK to put customer satisfaction over profit. With this expertise and knowledge I started Swift Moves in January 2016 and I haven’t looked back since.

Working my way from mover to manager and eventually into owner of Swift Moves gives me unique insights that allows me to connect with the customer and the employee which ensures I can give our customer the highest and most professional level of service possible. Our movers are trained, respectful, clean-cut and will handle your belongings with care. They are all full-time employees- NO DAY LABORERS!!!

All of our trucks are equipped with all the necessities such as blankets, dollies, pads, straps, shrinkwrap and much more to make sure all of your items arrive safely in the new location. We charge a flat hourly rate that is accurate down to the next quarter hour, so if we go 15 minutes into the next hour we don’t charge you for a full hour.

Since we are locally owned and operated our pricing is much less when compared to the larger moving companies. We don’t have to pay franchise fees, so we are able to pay our clean cut movers more (and get quality employees) while passing the savings onto our loyal customers.

The Tim’s were great! Both movers names were Tim and they did a great job. We were moving from a 3 story Townhouse which meant a lot of stairs and turns. The Tim’s handled our stuff with care and it all got to our new place intact and pretty fast for having to maneuver the stairs. Would use Swift again and would recommend them to anybody looking for movers.

My movers, Tyler and Tyler were great! I called several different movers and they quoted me over $2k for a Sarasota to St. Pete move! Swift moves had the best quote. I have to say that after my partial move with another company, my faith with movers was diminished.That quickly changed when Reinaldo & Maleik from Swift Moving showed up at a short notice to assist with unpacking our moving truck.The “Best Movers in the Company” had amazing personalities, very professional and moved might I say quite swiftly :)Absolutely recommend this company for anyone in Tampa Area, there is tons of competition, however knowing that your moving experience is going to go well with a few laughs, is worth giving Swift a shout.

We recently moved and decided to go with Swift Moves. We were not disappointed. Their estimate beat their competition by miles. They arrived on time in a professional looking vehicle wearing professional uniforms ready to work. Our movers were highly professional and above all efficient. They completed the job on time and were very respectful of our belongings. They made short work of moving a dresser weighing several hundred pounds up a flight of stairs with no damage. I have had to move several times and these guys were the best by far. I was expecting there to be some sort of hassle or headache somewhere in the process but there was nothing. It was completely smooth from start to finish. I see now why they have the positive reading they do on Google and would highly recommend them to anybody.

Really appreciate this company. Jeremy and manager justin squeezed me in on a 2 day notice in an emergency situation at the busiest time of the month. Special shout out to Jerimyahh and Timmy who came in and not only were quick but handled with great customer service and care for every piece they touched. I hired Swift Moves in January via Thumbtack. It was a last minute request, and they were able to send a team out the very next day. The two crew members, Jeremy and Carjac, were great. Friendly, professional, and fast. They moved everything we requested and helped with more items in under two hours. They had a great attitude and were careful with our stuff. I HIGHLY recommend Swift Moves!! I rented a 20' UHAUL to move from Florida to Michigan and hired them to load my truck. I am an awful careless "packer" but not one thing was broke or crushed!! My huge heavy glass table top made it!! And I DID accidently hit holes/bumps on the road and was worried! 😬Timmy & Jeremy were my helpers and they were nice, respectful, patient and diligent!! Jestin is the manager in St. Pete and he was also very nice, patient and accommodating!! 5 Stars all the way!! Thank you!!!!!!!! I'm so happy!

Everything from booking to the move went fabulous. They had the best rate of the multiple companies we called for quotes and helped answer all of our questions. We moved from a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator to a single story home. In their first 10 minutes on site, they had the living room cleared. They were quick but careful and so kind. They even were kind enough to make a second stop at our storage unit so we didn’t have to try and move things we didn’t need on our own. I will absolutely recommend this company to others and will use them again in the future!

I called swift in a last minute panic needing movers on the weekend. I spoke with Justin who was absolutely professional and kind. This company bent over backwards to accommodate my needs for this move. I expressed what it was I needed (even though I was frantic and stressed) , and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and the job was doable. Moving forward I will be using swift for any future moves. I have HIGH respect for a company and staff who are more than willing to accommodate and get the job done. Well done! We did not expect everything to be perfect and overall, the job was completed okay. Rather than a review of the job they did, wanted to give some suggestions to people who is considering using this company and is relying on reviews to make their decision.Do not book the afternoon job since the movers will be exhausted after the morning job. They still tried their best in completing the moving for us but obviously they will be less effective, and the charges are the same.Do not ask them to help disassemble furniture. Do it yourself or ask someone else to do it ahead of the moving. They do not have power tools and it took them over an hour to disassemble one of our beds using screw drivers. I was shocked when seeing a professional moving company using hex keys to disassemble furniture. The mover was kind enough by telling me do not use them to reassemble the bed and I was able to do it myself in 15 mins.Try not to use them to move appliance. Our washer and dryer had dents and starches all over them and they broke a piece of concrete on the step inside garage. ‘It could have been worse’, the mover told me.There will be damages to the furniture, and we had many parts of the furniture missing. The manager was kind to ask the movers, but we never heard back from him. We were able to order some from manufacturers and amazon but not all.You will be charged more than the estimate, since, again, it is an estimate.

The movers came within the given time frame. They were very careful with our items and communicated the entire way. We did have on issue with a recliner on the sectional and the manager responded immediately and sent a repair team. It was fixed with in 2 days and the move was within budget. It’s not always perfect, but the overall experience was great. We will use them again if ever needed.

I have never written a poor evaluation, but after much consideration and lack of empathy from the company, I will share my experience. Also, by writing this, I have to forfeit my $60 reimbursement check.I am a 100% disabled veteran and have moved multiple times. I know there can be damages but when almost every piece of furniture has been damaged, plus missing items, and the reimbursement only would cover the missing ironing board, it is very disheartening.Let's start with the estimate of 5-6 hrs with 2 trucks, 4 men, cost around $1700. I had suggested someone assess my items in person, but was told it would be pretty accurate over the phone and went thru all the rooms with the representative on the phone. Yes, I understand it can be longer, but it turned into a 9 hr move, with one truck driving to the wrong town, and running out of gas on the way to my new home. New cost $2400.(they did take an hour off, for the truck without gas)I realized on moving day, that my stand up lamp was missing it's glass shade(very large) and called the men that did the moving directly, and asked where it was. They would check, but never called me back. I later found a broken bulb from the lamp in a box and imagine the shade was broken and they just didn't want to tell me. My ironing board...how do you lose an ironing board? Why is it so important..just the fact it's been moved from Korea and not lost, but a 35 mile ride, it disappears? You can't look in your trucks, and if you did, admit you have it and return it? What ever happened to some type professionalism? The cord for my electric recliner sofa, and the bottom of my table leg are also items missing in action.The furniture was placed in the truck with force causing cracks, chips, and missing chunks in almost every piece of furniture I have...3 bedrooms plus my brand new dinning room set.They did send out a furniture repairman, who waxed up and colored many of the furniture damages, but did not feel comfortable sanding the new dining room table down to repair the scratches, so I am forever looking at scratches on my new table. I tipped all the men well, but I wouldn't have, if I had been aware of all the damages.When I received the $60 in the mail attached with a letter stating I could not speak negative of the company since the matter has been settled, I was in such disbelief and I still am. I reached out for an explanation and was informed it was the coverage I had signed for(goes on weight).In my opinion, the company should have made more of an attempt for a better compensation as a way to apologize for everything that had happened.I am saddened that I don't matter enough to Swift Moves to take the extra step to make it better.So... customer service was not important in my situation.Thank you for allowing me to express my disappointment on this format.

The moving team was wonderful. I lived off a dead-end alley with a very tight entrance. Driver said he'd back in there. Neighbor and I told him he'd never make it, he said he could. He backed that big truck in there with no problem,we were all in awe. Loading and unloading went efficiently and the guys and I were all happy. They were the only bright moment in a very difficult move.

I have a small job of moving about 40 heavy boxes. I called SWIFT MOVES because I liked what people wrote about them in their reviews and that they answered their phone on a Sunday afternoon! The two young men that came out to do the job were great! Hard and fast workers, they didn't waist any time. I would recommend SWIFT MOVES to my friends!

There are so many mover in St.pete please keep scrolling. This company is very unexperience and pretend they know what they are doing. They sent two young boy to move a 1bd home. The driver had a tantrum and the manager for the day promised to assist then left us hanging for hours. Eventually I found another company. Who charged double for the last minute booking. I asked the swift mover owner, Kaleb if they would paid the difference of what they would have charged and what I had to pay. I have not heard from him or an associate since October 27th, no manager, owner or rep. of Swift Movers has contacted me.Very disappointed, unbelievable experience and if you have a choice to find another company. Call around for a mature copany.
