Considered part of the Tampa Bay Area and occupying the southern and eastern parts of Pinellas County with an average yearly temperature of 74 degrees and an average of 361 days of sunshine a year, St. Petersburg holds the Guinness World Record for most consecutive days of sunshine (768). St. Pete is surrounded on three sides by water and is home to some of the best beaches in the world. If the water is not for you there are lots of other things to do like the Salvador Dali Museum, The “World Famous” Pier, The Museum of Fine Arts, The Major League Baseball two time ALCS champion Tampa Bay Rays, Sunken Gardens or countless other activities. It is home to Saint Petersburg College, The University of South Florida St. Pete and Eckerd College-three nationally accredited universities. The University of South Florida St. Pete and Eckerd College are actually situated on the water with both having competitive sailing teams and actual beaches.

With a long history of baseball in Florida, St. Pete was home to various spring training teams going back to 1908 up until about 1908. In the 1920’s baseball legends Babe Ruth and Lou Gherig had apartments in downtown St. Pete that Swift Moves has proudly moved (not back then but recently)!

The 1980’s classic Cocoon was famously filmed here (ask ten people and they will tell you ten different houses where the famous pool scene was shot). Other notable movies filmed here include Oceans 11, Spring Breakers, Magic Mike, Summer Rental, Dolphins Tale plus many more!

Every January St. Pete hosts one of the biggest MLK parades in the Southeast and every June St. Pete hosts one of the biggest LBGT pride parades in the nation. In March the streets in downtown are shut down to host an Indy Car Race-an actual Indy Car Race!

From the house built in the 1920’s “Old Northeast” section of town to the mansions of “The Pink Streets”, St. Pete has every type of house, condo or apartment anyone could ask for-AND SWIFT MOVES WANTS TO MOVE THEM ALL!!!!
