Thanks Ben!

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a free framed copy. 

Growing up I had a best friend named Ben. We grew apart and I didn't see or hear from him for like 20 years. Then one morning I'm watching the Today Show on NBC and they are doing a segment on lawn maintenance or something and they start interviewing the owner of the lawn care company and its Ben! I could not believe it. When I met this guy, his mom, his two brothers and one sister lived in a three bedroom apartment and now he's the owner of a huge company that is being featured on a major TV show. I worked for him at the company for like one day when I was 12 years old. I contacted him when I went back home a few years ago and he is doing well. He actually texted me “Happy Birthday” a few months ago which meant a lot because I was going through a tough time and he knew it meant a lot to me. I think about how a little two word text from an old friend can mean a lot. Thanks Ben. 

The Artwork-This one came out perfect and has a lot of sentimental value to me-it's Clifford The Big Red Dog! Even though I'm in my mid-upper 40’s I still remember my Grandmother reading these books to me when I was five years old. I look at this drawing and a flood of memories rush over my brain. This eyes are huge. I like the way his paws are sitting in front of one another and I like his big collar but most of all I love the red on this one. The red matches up perfectly to the original. I hope you enjoy it! 

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
