I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a free framed copy.
Before I started this business I was a television host for a local television show that sold jewelry, it was like a high end Home Shopping Network. Side Note-Home Shopping Network started right here in St. Petersburg, FL. After I worked there for about two years my wife and I were invited to a small grand (soft) opening for a new restaurant in St.Pete. We went and they were filming a commercial to be shown on a local tv station. They ended up having my wife say some lines and filming it. We then forgot about it. At about the same time my wife took m y daughter to a hospital or some big kids event, there were games and prizes and stuff. While there someone who worked for the hospital took pictures of my daughter. We then forgot about it. Cut to like six months later; I'm watching tv and the ad for that restaurant comes on with my wife saying like the final line, she got good air time. And it aired everyday like ten times a day for a year. While driving down the road about that same time, I saw a billboard for a hospital with my daughter's picture on it! Then I saw another and another. I then called the hospital to inquire how many there actually were. After finally getting a hold of someone (because I just called the operator and it took me like a week to find who would know) the lady informed me there were eight billboards in our area and would be up for six months.
Point of the story. About 13 years ago I was a television host while at the same time my wife was on a TV commercial ten times a day while at the same time my daughter was on eight billboards all around our area. How much did we get paid you asked? The day they shot the commercial we got a free meal (like everyone else), so nothing and my daughter also got nothing. I was not paid too well either. But we all three enjoyed our time in the spotlight.
The Artwork-Its Santa! This is a pretty traditional representation of him. Look at those bushy eyebrows, big beard and mustache! I love the way he is grasping his belt. His cheeks have the nice cozy rosy shadowing that along with his eyes and terrific smile make this guy look great. I hope you enjoy it!
I drew this one Christmas last year but I went out of town for two days so it looks like the dates of the drawing no longer match up perfectly.
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 12/23/24 is $191.
