I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a free framed copy.
Happy New Year!!! This is it! Its my last day of writing these blogs. I hope I have provided at least one laugh or a piece of food for thought or given someone some hope or maybe provided you with a good piece of moving advice. I guess more than anything I hope I gave someone just one little twinge of hope for the future. If I can go from not knowing how to draw to drawing 335 drawings and writing 335 blog entries, anything is possible. If you're reading this remember you're special. Everyone is unique in their own way and if you are reading this blog post you are definitely on the right path. This is the coolest, best blog on the planet and you should be blessed you get to read it. That's a joke. I legit don't think anyone has read it. I'm looking forward to next year. I'm glad 2024 is over. Professionally it was a pretty hard year. But I don't care. Hard times make tough people. I guess it can always get worse but I think I'm about to be in a position to make things a lot better for myself because tough times never last but tough people do. It was a tough year, mainly because of the hurricane. But I'm still lucky. I have my health, I have a company-that is the best moving company in the world. I have my family and overall I live in a time where I can write these stupid blogs on my stupid laptop or watch stupid videos on my stupid phone. Am I rich yet? No. But that's not the goal. The goal is to be successful and success is measured differently for everyone. I guess success for me is happiness and I'm happy. I've lived in St. Pete for 26 years now (which itself is a crazy statement) and I've come a long way. I moved here in 1998 with literally a H-E-B plastic bag that had one pair of socks and like a shirt in it. No kidding. I had to buy a toothbrush when I landed here. I lived on a friend's couch for six months. But I got a job within three days and didn't look back. I never missed a day of work, I didn't have that option. I had to go to work or starve. I then put myself through college and started my own business. It was and is a hard journey. I've had 10,000 doors slammed in my face. I've been laughed at, ridiculed and looked down on but I don't think about those times. I think about the time Mike Bennet let me stay at his place one night because I had nowhere to go. Or the time I moved into a house with no electricity but Denise, the neighbor from across the street who I met that night, ran an extension cord so we could have heat for the night. I started volunteering my first year in college and it has come back tenfold. I almost learned just as much volunteering as I did in any class.
Anyways, I'm just rambling on. I hope you read this and it brings a smile to your face or a small spark of inspiration. Happy New Year!! Love Yall, Thanks for reading.
I can't believe the last one of these actually ended up on the first day of the year. I had a certain amount of drawings and just wrote one entry for each picture. I missed a few days for the hurricanes and I'm pretty sure I numbered some of the days wrong but whatever happened it ended up on the first day of the year. So now after doing something everyday for two years straight I have nothing to do. I think I'm going to practice and learn to draw a little better. As a hobby.

The Artwork-The last one is for me, I am not going to display it. It's Olivia the Pig, not my favorite one but there wasn't a lot left to choose from. If you really want to see her let me know. I hope you enjoy!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 1/1/25 is $200
