Crepes and Soy Sauce Don't Mix

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know,this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. Have you ever ordered food from somewhere and they gave you the wrong ingredient? Like pickles when you said no pickles or too much salt when you wanted salted fries?  How about soy sauce on crepe when you wanted chocolate sauce? Yeah that happened to me once. It was New Years Eve probably about 2018 or so and my family and I were in downtown St. Pete for the festivities. All day I had been thinking about eating a crepe because I had got one the previous time we were there. So i ordered the crepe from a food truck, then I remember it took like 15 minutes to get the food. When I received my food I asked for some whip cream and raspberry sauce and other stuff but most importantly to this story chocolate sauce. The guy said “here you go” and handed me a bottle of what looked like chocolate sauce. I put a generous amount on the crepe, sat down and took a gigantic bite. It tasted off to say the least. I don't eat a tremendous amount of crepes so I took another little bite to make sure it was not me, it wasn't. I asked my wife to try it, she did and almost gagged. We went and got the bottle from the vendor only to find out it was soy sauce! At this point I realized how disgusting what I just ate was. Imagine thinking all day about this sweet savory dessert then after ordering and waiting 15 minutes only to bite into a combination of ingredients that should never, ever go together. I can still taste that horrible taste in my nightmares sometimes. I did not get another one, they just gave me my money back. One of the funnier things of the story is I wasn't the only one! Another guy had ordered one and he had the same experience and probably tells this story to people just like I do. I don't order a lot of crepes but when I do I always double check the sauces I put on it. 

The Artwork-This is my generic ghost. He's a happy ghost. I like his big mouth and tongue and gigantic black eyes but most of all I like all the curves of his sheet and how you can see shadows from where the sheet folds. I really love the shadows. This has part of my October Halloween series. Not every drawing I did in this month was Halloween themed but I tried as many as I could. I hope you enjoy it!

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. In about 10 days from now I will be starting a new workout routine to finish this year off. I'm really going to challenge myself and I am not even sure if I will be able to physically do it. I'm calling it the 100/100/100 challenge. As the days get closer I'm getting more excited but I'm also dreading it a little bit because it's going to be a challenge to  myself that I've never even come close to doing. I'm getting old though and need to start taking better care of my body.
