How Do We Know What Is Good To Eat?

The 277th One How Do We Know What Is Good To Eat? 11/7/24

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a framed copy.

I often wonder who was the first person to eat an apple or orange or banana without dying? It had to be like 50,000 years ago but at some point in time someone had to be the first one to eat an apple and figure out it is god for you. At the same time many people had to eat many things that are not good and those people did not make it. It had to be challenging to figure out what was edible and what was bad. And did they do it alone? Did many people eat the wrong berry many times over 1000’s of years before someone finally figured it out and passed that info down to other generations. Or did some group figure it out like in one lifetime? Did these people all travel the globe together and draw straws so see who would eat that piece of fruit hanging down from that strange tree? And then that person ate it and either made it another day or didn't. And how did they tell future generations what was good to eat or not? It's not like they could put it on Facebook, they couldnt even write it down, there was no paper, pencils or even any type of written characters. I would guess the lifespan back then had to be like 20-30 years old but how did they even make it that long? I don't think I could make it in two weeks. Think about how hungry you are if you forget breakfast. No imagine having to walk across uncharted or explored territory and not eating for days or weeks at a time. At that point you are eating whatever you can see and I think this probably caused early deaths. Unless there was no bacteria or viruses and our stomachs could handle a lot of different items that we could not eat today. I think or hope everyone understands what I'm trying to convey here. Only like 55 more days of these riveting posts.

The Artwork-Its Bert or Ernie! I truly don't know which one it is but this was no doubt my favorite drawings to actually color.  I love how all the colors match up to the original. There are some unusual colors but somehow I was able to match them up. I probably had to go through ten different colors of orange to match his face up but it came out great. The drawing itself is great-I think the proportions are right and his mouth, nose and eyes stay true to the character. I like his big baggy 1990’s jeans. I hope you enjoy it!

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam,

it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!  The total on 11/7/24  is $146.

Progress on my 100/100/100. Challenge. The concept is basically I will do 100 push ups, 100 sit ups and 100 minutes on the elliptical machine all in one sitting. I will start off doing 1/1/1 then going from there. But they always have to be the same number so I can't do 10 push ups and 12 sit ups and I can never go back-on once I'm up to 20, I can't do 19 the next day. As of last night the count was 60/60/60. (I skipped a day just to see how it felt and I feel pretty guilty and lazy today. I don't think I will skip another day, I am going to try to be done in 12 days.) Push ups are getting really hard. I have until 1/3/25 to complete this challenge. I figure if I just add one or two reps a day I will eventually get there. I'm not doing this challenge to “get big” or lose weight.
