The 286th One  It Took 10,000 Hours 11/16/24

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a framed copy.

One thing I must say about myself and everyone that works for Swift Moves is we really do care and we really do work our butts off to make sure every client has a great experience. From when the client first calls in to get an estimate to us setting up the move to the guys actually doing the move to doing follow ups, we all have a tremendous amount of moving experience to do a great job and overcome any obstacles that may come in  our way. Just in the office we all easily have over 60 years experience with three guys. That's behind the scenes. Then you add in the literal 100’s of years of experience with our movers, there's nothing we can't handle. Give us a call and find out for yourself!!!

They say you need 10,000 hours of doing something to become an expert at doing it. Im like to think I'm an expert at about one thing-moving household furniture from one location to the next in the Tampa Bay Area. I've been moving furniture around here since 1998. I started as a helper, then a driver then as an assistant manager and then eventually started my own company. If you need stuff moved across state lines we could probably get it done (but we won't because we do not have the proper licenses) but I'm not going to say I'm an expert in the field of moving stuff across state lines. Like what insurances do you need? How much do you have to pay employees and for what hours?  How long can a driver drive everyday? Are movers legally required to their own motel room? These are questions I could find the answers to but if I was an expert I would already know. As a company we are looking at some options to maybe expand but for now we will stay in our own lane and do what we are expert at doing-moving furniture locally in the Tampa Bay Area.

The Artwork-I think this guy is from Five Nights at Freddies. There's a few things I really like about this guy. I'm not sure if I like the hook or eye path better but I liked drawing both of them; I like the little absence of light on the hook to show a reflection. Around his eyes are two different colors of red but they aren't defined by lines, they kind of blend into one another. I always liked when I got to blend colors. Hism right eye has some sort of black spot on the bottom of it and his top teeth look like they are missing but they are gray showing what an unhygienic person he must be. This one was fun to draw. I hope you enjoy it!

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 11/16/24 is $154.

Progress on my 100/100/100. The concept is basically I will do 100 push ups, 100 sit ups and 100 minutes on the elliptical machine all in one sitting. I will start off doing 1/1/1 then going from there. But they always have to be the same number so I can't do 10 push ups and 12 sit ups and I can never go back-on/ once I'm up to 20, I can't do 19 the next day. As of last night the count was  85/85/85. Push ups are getting really hard, sit ups are getting hard and the running is getting hard. I think I'll be done in a week or less. I have until 1/3/25 to complete this challenge.I figure if I just add one or two reps a day I will eventually get there. I'm finding now it's me having enough time to get the challenge done every night. I'm not doing this challenge to “get big” or lose weight.
