I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
People can say a lot of things about me but the one thing I know they will say is :that guy works his butt off”. Especially when stuff needs to get done or when I'm on a job, I don't stop, I don't go slow, I never give up and I try to work harder and faster than everyone else. Within reason of course. I don't work harder or faster because I want to be better or think I'm better than anyone but I do this for two reasons. The first reason is the faster I get done the sooner I can get home-I mean who wants to be at work? The second reason is whoever I'm working for (or with) probably wants me to get done as soon as possible also, they probably have other stuff to do. When i say work hard I mean getting after it, with as little as down time as possible, no excuses, down and dirty do whatever it takes to get the job done. I do not hesitate to say I have a good work ethic. I got this from a place I used to work at when I first moved to Florida called Bay Area Auction. It was a family owned business and my boss was a guy named Greg Farner. I didn't realize it at the time but this guy showed me a work ethic I didn't know existed. I was still green behind the ears so I had a lot to learn and thankfully he showed me some stuff. Greg's parents owned the company and he had employees but he was by far the hardest working person there (maybe that's why he now owns the company and seems to be quite successful!) But this guy would not stop moving all day. He worked hard, he worked fast and always walked with a purpose. It was my first real job so I had never seen anything like this before. I was young and dumb and eventually quit because I was young and dumb but when I got to my next job I was like the hardest working person there because what I had been surrounded by for the last two years rubbed off on me without me even knowing it. So thank you Greg and everyone else for showing me how to work hard and be my best.
The Artwork-This is Knuckles, a sidekick of Sonic the Hedgehog and he looks awesome. Right off the bat you see he has spikes on his knuckles, I guess that where he gets his name. His eyes, furrowed brow and one sided smile make him look fairly devious. His gloves have a little bit of shadowing. Lots of red on this guy with a little bit of white to show a shine on his nose. I do like how some of his hair is overlaid on his arms. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 8/13/24 is $56.
