If you read these please start from the first day or not whatever-it's your life!
In past posts I have talked about setting different goals for myself. Short term, mid term and long term goals. I guess I have what I could call a short term goal I'm going to attempt. I have recently been looking for an elliptical machine and lucked out when a neighbor gave me his old one. I'll tell you a little about my exercise past and then let you know the goal.
As a kid I ran around, rode bikes, played organized and unorganized sports and for the most part stayed in ok shape. I never really worked out or had a real regimen to make any real change to myself. I was never "buff". A few times I tried but it never lasted more than two weeks. I did move furniture and completed over 3000 on the truck so that definitely kept me in ok shape, but nothing too extraordinary. About a year and a half ago I got an elliptical from a moving job and took it home. I had a wedding to go to so I started to walk on it everyday. I got up until about thirty minutes a day and then it broke so I couldn't do it anymore. That's the extent of my workout history. I'm lucky because I think I have naturally high metabolism, but as I get older that's slowly going away and I can definitely tell a difference in the way I look and the way I feel. I could honestly care less about the way I look. I'm more worried about staying in the best shape possible so I can watch my kids grow old and accomplish all of my long term goals. As a side note I eat about five or six ice cream bars a night.
So here's my plan and goal. I want to start working out tonight by walking one mile on the elliptical. Then tomorrow I will do two minutes. Then Thursday I do three minutes. And so on and so forth. My goal is to get up to 60 minutes a night and maybe more if possible. I think this will be the easiest part of my goal. The second half of this goal is to stop eating the ice cream bars every night. They're just so good though. The last bite is just perfect tasting when I eat one and I immediately want another one. They Are very addictive. So that's my goal. Work my way up until I can do an hour a night on the elliptical and cut out the ice cream bars. By the way, when I say work my way up, I don't mean in three months. I want to be up to an hour by June 16th 2024, exactly 60 days from now.
The Artwork-I liked this one but the proportions are a little off. I think his neck area is too short. His legs are fine but from the shirt up seems a little off. Plus I mean he is a horse standing up wearing clothes so I'm not sure how he would look. Other than the proportions though the drawing looks good. It's Bojack Horseman! I watched his entire series on Netflix, it was a pretty good show.
But the drawing has nice colors and if you watched the series I think the eyes of this picture represent him in the entire series. It's just a look but it conveys this unsuredness of himself. It's all in the eyes.
