The Summer when I was seventeen I worked two jobs almost everyday to buoy a new car. At 8AM I had to be at a restaurant named Catfish King to open up and work from 8-5. Can you guess what we served? If you guessed catfish you are correct. I was a cook. We had eight fryers each with two sections, so a total of 16 sections, that we cooked mainly catfish. At that time in my life I didn't like fish so I never got to actually eat it. I mainly ate chciken fried steak and hush puppies. So I worked there from 8AM to5PM and then I ran across the highway (literally a highway) to work from 6pm -11PM to work at Market Street cafe as a cook (I talked about that job like a week ago). I would then walk home a lot of nights and do the same thing again the next day. I was able to do this for about two months straight like everyday and save $1700 to buy my first car. I think it was a 1988 Nissan Sentra (that could be totally wrong but whatever, it's close). So for months I walked about a mile to work at 7AM, worked for 8 hours, ran across the highway, worked another six hours, then walked about a mile back home. This definitely taught me a lot about work and hard work and being on time and keeping commitments and lots of other things. It taught me you have to choose-do I want to hang out with my friends or do I want to work everyday and get a car? I chose the car and then I was able to hang out with my friends a lot more! So the moral of the story is-if you have a plan and you work your butt off, you can get what you want a lot of the time. This was not a complicated plan and might not work for a lot of situations. Because no matter how hard you try and wake up early, for a lot of people there's no signing NBA contacts.
The Artwork- Definitely one of my favorite ones. I used almost the entire page on this guy. I'm pretty sure he's from Pokemon, but that could be wrong and I'm not looking it up because it would require me to scroll and point the mouse one tab over and that would take less time than it did to write this sentence. But of all the drawings I did last year I think this one came out the best as far as the coloring, proportions and actual drawing goes. His face is almost perfect symmetrically. Once again it's the eyes. You don't realize how big they are with just little slivers if white but it makes the entire picture. He's got on his cool hat with lots of hair. Then he's got his cool jacket with his hands and gloves to the side and there's little different colored highlights throughout that you don't really even notice if you don't look closely. I'm really happy with this one. I hope you enjoy it.
Day 31 of the elliptical-Day 14 (out of 60) of 60 minutes straight on the elliptical. I did all of it on the third setting again last night. I think I'll do setting three once or twice more then go to the next setting up.
