The Eighty Seventh One 3/30/24

If you read these please start from the first day.

whenI was young I watched wrestling for about 3-4 years then I lost interest. But I always heard about the famous guys through the regular pop culture ways like the Tonight Show or whatever. A wrestler named Diamond Dallas Page became famous many years after I stopped watching but I would always hear his name and how he helped people and actually saved some lives with a type of yoga he invented or something. I watch a lot of A&E Biographies because it fascinates me about how people achieved her dreams and goals. I saw one on Diamond Dallas Page the other day. He was 31 years old before he actually started wrestling, which is extremely old for the “sport”. But he said two things in this doc that really got my attention. The first quote is “Be positive, shake that sh$t off and keep going”. Man if this doesn't hit the nail on the head I don't know what does. Let's briefly break this down into its three parts. #1) “Stay Positive”. So no matter what just keep your head up, I almost live by this code. You will never see me in a bad mood or not happy. I control my own fate so if I'm not positive it's on me, no one else.#2) “Shake that sh$t off”. This is so true. Bad stuff is going to happen all the time. You can't let it keep you down. You have to get up and shake it off and do 3) “keep going”. Don't give up, don't ever give up. 

The second quote really got to me “You can get whatever you want as long as you help enough people get whatever they want”.This describes me pretty well. About 20 years ago I started volunteering doing many different things and it has come back to me ten fold. Not just volunteering though. Just helping people in general. The way I see it, I'm not doing too much right now so I do my best to help whoever I can. I love when someone asks for a favor or asks for help doing anything. As long as it's within reason and they aren't taking advantage (which most people are not) I will do my absolute best to help anyone. Not because I expect something in return but because it's the right thing to do. One reason I do this is because so many people have helped me to get where I am. I feel I owe it back to the universe to help as many people as possible. And I have found ever since I've adopted this attitude to help everyone I can, my life has improved dramatically. I think I talked about some of this in previous posts but this one is just about the quote. So thank you DDP for helping me fill space on my little blog today. 

The Artwork-This is one of the rare pieces I drew that is only a face. It's the mask from the movie “V for Vendetta”. I saw the movie but it was a long time ago, it was ok. But the piece itself is cool. Even though its not perfectly symmetrical-the pink highlights, pure black eyes and the actual coloring of the mask makes it a cool piece. It's got that pale shading that contrasts nicely with the pink.
