I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a framed copy.
I think I have written about this before but today it seems to be more true for me than any other day. Choicers, choices, choices. Should I write this blog or not write this blog? Should I buy that new truck? Should we move that piano up stairs that the client says is not a problem but you've had problems with in the past or pass on the job (We will probably do the job!) Growing up I always knew I wanted to start a business and its all I ever thought about and even though I went to school for it and they tell you about it, nothing really prepares you for not only the amount of decisions you have to make but also the ramifications of those decisions. All day everyday I have people asking me questions. From vendors to clients to employees and all other stakeholders involved in our business everyday is a myriad of decisions. And almost everyone could make or break my business. Not really but that's what it feels like. That's the pressure no one really talks about. One wrong decision and someone could be out of a job or someone could get hurt or we could have an unhappy client. It just seems more true today than other days. Nothing bad or anything, just an active morning. I think everyone has these mornings where you think to yourself “am I going crazy or does today just seem crazy or is everyone else crazy?” because as soon as you walk into work you're putting out 100 fires and answering 100 questions which all come down to decisions. Should we use a fire extinguisher? Should we call the fire department? Should we let it burn out? Not literally but you get what I'm saying.
The Artwork-This must have been one where I was in a hurry that day. I'm not sure where he is from but he's a weird looking fellow. His three dimensional eye sockets and thing hanging over his nose freak me out. He looks happy and has a nice wave. I like the color. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 9/8/24 is $79.
In about a week I will be starting a new workout routine to finish this year off. I'm really going to challenge myself and I am not sure if I will be able to physically do it. I'm calling it the 100 in 100 challenge. Details to come later. I'm getting more excited as the days get closer. I'm eating as much junk food as possible because when I start this routine I'm going to have to start eating better.
