I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a free framed copy.
I was watching the classic film National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation last night and one thing stood out to me. A huge part of the story line is how Clark Griswold is really upset because his Christmas bonus was not as big as it should be. The audience is supposed to feel sorry for him. During the movie he hosts like 14 family members, cooks giant dinners and lives in what appears to be a 5000 square foot house in a nice neighborhood. One time he even said he couldn't stand how all the big rich people like his boss lived on one side of town. This was ridiculous. He was already pretty well off and was mad because he was supposed to purchase a pool for his home with the bonus money. This was a believable movie concept in 1989. Nowadays anyone would be thrilled to live in the house they lived in and would be grateful for everything they already had. What's the point of this post? There is no pont. I'm just saying Clark Griswold was a little selfish for being that upset he didn't get his new pool when his Cousin Eddie couldn't afford groceries.
I realize this is a very controversial stand on this topic but I will die on this hill. If you think I'm wrong, meet me at the park after school and we can settle it like gentlemen.
The Artwork-I definitely know where this guy is from. It's Pepe Le Pew, the amorous skunk who would definitely be canceled in today's world! I may have drawn him earlier this year and then accidentally drew him again but oh well, with 350 drawings I'm sure I did one or two twice by mistake. The drawing itself looks great. The proportions are right on and the two colors match up perfectly. I love his smile and nose. The nose looks nice with the little wrinkles above to show a tad bit of depth. I like how his hand covers up his tail just a little bit, it's nothing game changing but I like it. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 11/24/24 is $162.
