Elvis Who?

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a free framed copy. 

Even though he seems to be one of the coolest guys ever and I respect the art I never really understood Elvis Costello. He is a rock star who became famous in the early 1980’s in the (I think) punk genre. But I couldn't name one song of his.  He has his cool trademarked hat and guitar but I never see his music on any of the “best of” lists or any old music videos or even hear any of his songs on the radio. Yet he's extremely recognizable for someone my age. It's like they made up a rock star to put in commercials and host television shows but there's no actual music. I cannot recall ever watching one of his videos on MTV. And I've watched a lot of MTV. Oh well. 39 more days of this intense and fascinating commentary. 

The Artwork-Finally one I recognize. It's pretty much the most recognizable and famous cartoon character in the world-Mickey Mouse (dressed as Santa). I date this one wrong-its says 11/27/23 but should say 11/25/23. I started drawing my Christmas series with this one. Mickey was always hard for me to draw, I never got the proportions of him right. But I still like this one. His smile, nose and eyes are great. I like his Santa hat and green scarf but I really love the way his hands are resting on the side of his hips. I hope I did justice to the original cartoon and I hope you enjoy it! 

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
