I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
Man o’ man what to write about today. I recently read a FB post that said Ernest Hemingway had like seven rules for writing and what to do if you had writer's block. Now I'm not quite Hemingway yet but one of the rules was if you have writer's block then “write a true statement” and go from there. I never realized when I was younger how complicated and difficult life will be when you get older. That's a true statement. Pretty much every young person wants to be older but doesn't realize what it takes. Bills, bills, bils. When you're young you don't realize how complicated it is to get up every single day no matter what to pay bills. Sometimes there's no plan B. Sick-too bad. Don't feel like working-too bad. Hung over-too bad. Car broke down-too bad. There's no choice but to get up and do it. And this doesn't even take into account the actual keeping of the bills straight. Even though I've got a nice list of bills and due dates it's still a spider web of trickery trying to make sure we don't miss payments or anything. And while there's a lot of people who actually do care about you-a large majority could care less about you or your problems. They have their own problems to deal with. So even though you might be $100 short on rent and your neighbor has an extra $100-he or she is most likely not giving you that money. They don't care.
Besides bills, you have work problems, family problems, neighbor problems and just overall weird problems you would never think of. But as a child what you don't realize is there is no road map. There's no set solution. You think your parents had it all figured out but they are just doing their best everyday not to drown in life everyday.
Well this went way further south and way more dark than I thought it was going to. Let's hope not a lot of people read this one!
The Artwork-Its Buzz LightYear! I never saw the movies but heard good things. I like the way this guy came out though. He looks cool and confident. The colors are looking good and I really like how the lines curve on his stomach. That's all I got for today. It's like the busiest week of the year and I'm beat. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 7/28/24 is $41.
