I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
We finally just finished up what I think is the biggest job of the year for us. The job consisted of us receiving, storing, delivering and setting up about $500,000 worth of furniture for a new high end restaurant opening up in downtown St. Pete. It has been about a four month project with about 7,000 emails, 3,000 calls and 500 texts (and also a threat from a parking agency for where we had to deliver the furniture). I thought we were done last week but the client called this last Wednesday and said “oh yeah we need an eight man crew this Saturday because we forgot about this last truck coming in”. No problem, it's just our busiest weekend of the year. But of course we got it taken care of. Called in some trained reserves, moved some stuff around and did what we had to do to make the client happy. I love it. It's what I love to do. From the very first contact I knew I was going to enjoy this job. Lots of problems that were going to arise and therefore lots of solutions to be thought of, which definitely happened. Everything worked out plus I got to meet some very nice local business owners. One of the funnest things is even though this restaurant coincidentally is only about one mile for us on the EXACT same street as us in Downtown St. Pete, everything went through a company in Canada. For any mover the best part of the job is definitely when it is over. You've accomplished this giant task and hopefully made some people happy in the meantime. Now maybe I can enjoy a day off. Just kidding, it is the busiest week of the year.
The Artwork-This is hands down one of my favorite drawings. I got the instructions from a different source than the other ones I drew. It was a challenge. In the end I think it came out really nice. I'm pretty sure it's from Beauty and the Beast. The star of this one is definitely the tea cup and how he's holding up like an aristocrat in his hand. Then a nice top hat with a price tag on it looks great but what i really like is his mouth and eyes. Plus all the colors make this look great. I love the skin tone and color of the inside of his mouth. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 7/27/24 is $40.
