I hope you enjoy these. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them the original in the frame just message me and I'll send it for free.
We are a moving company and ZI have not been talking a lot about moving so to fill some space I'm going to give a few more in detail tutorials about how to prepare and do a move.
Today I'm going to write more about how to prepare for a move once you have hired a moving company. So you talk to a moving company (it better be Swift Moves!) over the phone and hire them-what next? With us you need to feel out the paperwork we email you. Please be sure to read the paperwork and make sure everything is correct-especially the addresses and phone numbers then do any signatures required. Next you need to get ready for the actual move. Pack all your boxes (if we are not packing them) and make sure they are taped closed and if possible write clearly on them what room you would like the movers to put them in at the new location. You can leave dressers full as long as they will support the weight of what's inside of them.
If its a local move and they charge by the hour the more you have done the less expensive the move will cost. Some clients want us to do everything and some want us to do the bare minimum and they will do the rest.
So the boxes are packed and it's moving day. I always tell people the perfect moving situation would be if everything is in one neat pile in the room closest to the front door so our guys can come and just grab off of the pile. If not it's ok, but if you're trying to save money then work towards that, the less steps our guys have to take, the better.
You want to have clear paths to all the rooms, furniture and boxes; the less our guys have to move things out of the way, the better. Have the mirrors off the dressers and if possible any televisions off the walls and if possible all the beds disassembled. Our guys take apart a lot of beds and are pretty familiar with the process so taking the beds apart might be the last thing you would do and then spend your time on other things.
There's not a tremendous amount more you can do if the boxes are packed, the televisions are off the walls, the beds are taken apart, the mirrors are off the dressers and everything is placed in one nice neat pile in the closest room to the front door.
A few other pointers though. It's nice when you have cold water for the movers. They probably have their own but the jester will make them care a lot more about you, it's just human nature. After the truck is loaded up check with the driver and make sure he has the correct drop off address. At the end of the move if the crew did a great job, tips are always appreciated and a 5-Star review on Google is always nice. If for whatever reason you weren't 100% satisfied please don't just leave a bad review, give the company a call and give them the opportunity to make it right. A reputable moving company should do whatever it takes to make things right.
The Artwork-Look at this guy here-It's Marvin The Martian!!! He's a Looney Tunes character along with Bugs Bunny and some other classics. I love this guy's giant green helmet and the way his feet stick out. But for me what makes this one is the eyes (or lack of eyes) and the scrunched up fist. I really liked drawing this one.
Day 45 of the elliptical-Day 28 (out of 60) of 60 minutes straight on the elliptical. I went ahead and did all 60 minutes on setting 6 yesterday. I'm slowly getting to that 9 setting, but It’ll be pretty soon.
