I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a framed copy.
This day always sucks for me. The events that happened on 9/11/2001 made that the worst day of my life as an American so far. I've had one or two worse personal days but nothing close to this. Over 3,000 Americans died. I worked for another moving company at the time and we always had a meeting on the second Tuesday of the month. The meeting was from 8-9am and we always turned the phones and any media off. This was way before cell phones. So we have the meeting then go hop in our moving truck which was at about 905AM and I'll Never forget the words that came out of the speaker when I turned on the truck “Oh my God another plane just hit the World Trade Center!”. We had no idea what was happening but we soon found out but would soon find out. Luckily for me that day the move we did was only moving a few pieces around an office in New Port Richey. When I entered the office the entire staff was sitting around the television watching what was going on. One lady was freaking out big time and I couldn't blame her. If I would have had some type of giant move that day I may have not done it or quit but who knows. When I got back to the yard after we completed the move I went and filled up my gas tank and emptied out my bank account because I didn't know what was going on at the time. We had no clue if it was another country or terrorist or what. It could have been Russia as far as we knew, it ended up being terrorist. I'm not going to go into any more detail, that's just my personal experience of how I found out about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The Artwork-Not sure what or who this is but it looks like a dog/bear. Kind of a combination of a dog and a bear. Nice deep brown colors, a nice purple shirt and great features to confuse the critics. I like his big eyes, cheeks and nose. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 9/11/24 is $82.
In about a week I will be starting a new workout routine to finish this year off. I'm really going to challenge myself and I am not sure if I will be able to physically do it. I'm calling it the 100/100/100 challenge. As the days get closer I'm getting more excited but I'm also dreading it a little bit because it's going to be a challenge to myself that I've never even come close to doing. I'm getting old though and need to start taking better care of my body.
I've been advised I need to put some keywords in these blogs so moving and movers St. Pete
