I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
Yesterday I was talking to my daughter about buying shampoo and something kind of occurred to me that I had never realized before. It's pretty common knowledge that women spend a lot more money on hair care products than men do. There's nothing good or bad about this but it is what it is. When I buy shampoo I look for the cheapest-”It's made of used tires and formaldehyde but it's only $2.00-Sold!”. Women on the other hand do research and will spend more money to maintain their hair. But why? What hit me yesterday was that women for the most part have longer hair and will have the same hair for years. But not me (or most guys). My hair is constantly recycling itself. My hair is short and will be all different hairs in December than what's up there today. So I don't really care too much about my hair, it's going to be chopped off in a few weeks and I have no real attachment to it. Women have to take care of their hair more because it will be around for years and they need it to look nice and not fall apart or fall out so they need special ingredients and hair care routines. So to recap this exciting post, women's hair last year needs to be maintained by expensive products and men don't really care because it is going to be chopped off in a few months at the most. Riveting content.
The Artwork-Sorry about the glare on this one, it's from where it took the picture of the drawing. But the piece itself is great. I'm not sure his name but he's the villain from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game, Jim Carrey played him in the live action movie. This one took some time to draw, there's a lot of details. On his head is some type of headgear made of bolts which kind of speaks to his insanity. I love his deep blue eyes, big nose and gigantic mustache. His smile is menacing. Lots of buttons on his shirt andI think his hands came out nice. Overall I spent probably more time drawing hands last year than anything. His boots are ok looking but they also look uncomfortable, maybe that's why he is so mean. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 8/31/24 is $73.
In a couple of weeks I will be starting a new workout routine to finish this year off. I'm really going to challenge myself and I am not sure if I will be able to physically do it.
