I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a free framed copy.
I've read and saw in more than one place that with a 52 card deck of cards there are so many combinations that the same order has never been exactly completed in a one shuffle in the history of the world. Apparently there's more different combinations than there are stars in the known universe. Mathematically it's written like 52! Or 52 times 51 times 50…ext-it gets pretty big pretty quick (I did it on a calculator and it's like an 8 plus 67 zeroes). I don't necessarily believe this fact but it can be true in theory. In that same line of thinking my question today is-”has any set of billiard balls ever landed the same way after the break?” Hear me out. I'm talking about the standard 8-Ball billiard set up where the 8 ball is in the middle and the yellow one ball at the top. In the history of the world in all of the probably billions of times that someone has hit the cue ball to start the game, have the balls ever landed on the exact same place? Sometimes when I play and break the balls will all stay down there together and then the next time they will be all over the table, some go in the pockets, some don't. I don't know how one would measure this but I dont think it's ever happened, it would have to be a miracle. These are the things I think about and I almost think about it everytime I see a billiards table.
The Artwork-Its Elf on a Shelf. On the first day of December I started to do a little Christmas theme and this was the first one. I do like how this one came out. He looks innocent yet mischievous. Those huge blue eyes and eye lashes give a sense of deception. The brown hair covering up a little of his eyebrows looks cool but his rosy cheeks, Santa hat and the way his legs are tucked under his hands give him a childlike wonder. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 12/1/24 is $170.
