I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesn't know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a free framed copy.
Do yall have any clue how hard it is to write something everyday for a year and not repeat yourself or talk about politics or religion and stay positive? Let me tell you-it's not easy. Like today for example I can't think of a unique topic or thought or story I have not written about in the last year so I'm writing this to fill space. I don't have to do this two year undertaking, but it serves two different purposes. The first is a personal challenge to myself. Last year I drew a picture everyday and this year I have written something everyday. I would like to think by challenging myself it's made me a better person and next year when I'm finished, I'll have like an extra hour a day to hopefully teach myself a new skill. I think I'm going to get into more advanced drawing. The second reason I'm doing this is (really the main reason) is for the company I won-Swift Moves. I figure if I can show clients I am committed to doing something everyday for two years straight, I will be committed to doing a great job for them when they need to hire a mover. I'm not posting all this stuff on social media or sharing links or trying to get likes-I'm doing this entire project for the blog of SwiftMovesLLC.Com. I'm kind of taking a chance that with two years of blog post it will instill trust in my company into future clients. The sad part is I dont think I'll ever have any concrete results to tell me if this little project was successful or not. Thanks for reading.
And an obvious selfish third reason is I get to show off my ok drawing everyday.
The Artwork-I believe this is some type of Raggedy Ann doll but with a spooky twist I'm not sure it's supposed to be spooky but the “X” on the eye gives her a weird look. I love her little bow tie in her hair, the way her hands are resting on her hips and all the patches on her dress. Her right eye is huge and there's lots of color in lots of hair. Her feet look a little weird. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 11/27/24 is $166.
