The 108th One 4/20/24

I watched the Truman Show yesterday. It is a great movie starring the great Jim Carry. Heres synopsis of the movie I borrowed  of the internet:

He doesn't know it, but everything in Truman Burbank's (Jim Carrey) life is part of a massive TV set. Executive producer Christof (Ed Harris) orchestrates "The Truman Show," a live broadcast of Truman's every move captured by hidden cameras. Cristof tries to control Truman's mind, even removing his true love, Sylvia (Natascha McElhone), from the show and replacing her with Meryl (Laura Linney). As Truman gradually discovers the truth, however, he must decide whether to act on it.

Hers what always bothered me about this show. They tell him his girlfriend moved to Fiji. And the entire show they collectively do their best so Truman doesnt leave their island (which is really a giant studio). In flashbacks of his school they're teaching him math and history and there's maps on the wall so one can assume geography. WHY DO THEY TEACH HIM GEOGRAPHY? They could have told him the entire world only consists of what is on that island. He doesn't have to know about Fiji or Europe or planes or anywhere or anything to do with travel. I'm just saying. While this is a great movie that I've watched 100 times and will watch 1000 times more, this is a pretty big flaw in the movie. I guess Hollywood isn't perfect. Who Knew.

The Artwork-This is no doubt one of my favorite drawings. It's Pluto! And he looks great. The furrowed brows with his big eyes, his big wagging tongue, floppy ears, his green collar and the way he has his front paws and legs/feet position are the [perfect representation of this character. I'm proud of this one.
