Here's a story about the time a snake slithered across my feet when I had no shoes on.
Back in 2009 it was my Grandfather's 75th Birthday so our entire family planned a three day cruise to The Bahamas. The night before my wife ( who didn't really get to enjoy the cruise because she was six months pregnant) and I drove from St. Pete to Orlando the night before so the next morning we could drive to the port in Cape Canaveral. So, as any guy who is still in his 20’s would do, I brought my clothes so I could wash them at my Moms house. I go into the garage and as I'm putting everything in the washing machine I feel something on my feet and look down-IT WAS A SNAKE SLITHERING ACROSS MY FEET!!!!! I yelled louder than I had probably ever yelled in my entire life. Snakes are like my biggest fear. I can watch them in a cage but can't stand touching or holding them and certainly don't want one slithering across my bare feet. Everyone inside came out and then laughed a little because they said they had noticed it before. I'm Like “What the heck? You couldn't mention this?”. (not my exact words but for this blog I keep it clean). My wife for some reason is intrigued by snakes and somehow cornered him, caught him and released him back into the wild (my Moms backyard in the suburbs of Orlando.) Thank goodness it was just a black racer so it was harmless except for the heart attack it almost gave me.
The Artwork-I'm not sure who this guy is but he looks like a detective platypus. I like this guy though. His hands on his hips and once again the eyes, his weird looking beak and his huge tail with nice cross hatching and his great looking hat make for a great booking character. I think I like the colors the most. They're not primary colors but they all match up well. I'm proud of this one.
Day five of the treadmill-I'm up to ten minutes. It's getting a little harder but I'll keep going. I'm trying to just add a minute a day until I get to 60 minutes. It feels so good when I'm finished every night, I hope I can keep it up.
