This is a public service announcement that I told someone very high up in the St. petersburg fire department I would write about today.
First a small backstory. Yesterday as I arrived home about half a block down from my house there were fire and EMT’s everywhere. Me, being the naturally nosey person I am, walked down to check it out. I asked around and everyone was very nice. I ended up having a conversation with this fireman who had to be 60 years old. He said he was third in charge over ALL fire operations in St. Pete. Turns out the house about three houses down from mine caught fire. The entire thing didn't burn down but this guy told me something started on the back porch and spread to the attic. As I was talking to the fire chief (I don't think that's his title but close enough) I could see the firemen in the back of the house knocking down the ceiling. There was a lot of black stuff falling down. Even though I don't know him I feel so bad for my neighbor. But the entire point of this post today is something the chief told me. He said to make sure you have plenty of fire extinguishers and make sure the batteries in your smoke detectors work because a tremendous amount of loss of life and property would be saved if these two rules were followed. Hope this helps. And thanks from the bottom of my heart to all the first responders-it's a job I could definitely not do and they (and teachers!) all need to be paid a lot more money
The Artwork-This is one I loved drawing and love looking at. Lets break it down. First is all the bright green hair with a little crown on top. His smile is magnificent, hes got what appears to be some wings on his back and his arms outstretched to show how awesome he is. The hands look great, the eyes are perfect and who can't love those giant rectangular eyebrows. This is one of my favorite drawings. I really like the bright colors.
Day 15 of the elliptical-I went from 38 minutes to 40 minutes last night.
I stretched beforehand and can definitely tell the difference. Going for 40 minutes tonight.
