I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a framed copy.
Well you may have noticed it has been a while since I wrote the last post. In the last few posts I discussed getting ready for the hurricane. We did our best but it got us pretty bad, nor to mention the second one that came a week later. We were hit by a massive storm then two weeks later we were hit but what at o;ne time was recorded as the biggest hurricane since they have been keeping track. I'm not going to lie or sugar coat it-it's pretty hard and has been a tough road that we are just now beginning. Probably the hardest time in my professional life. But I can't and won't complain much because in the grand scheme of things, even though we lost A LOT, we are lucky. There are a lot of people who lost a lot more. This is the first time in almost three weeks that I have actually had a computer (lost the old one in the storm) and the first time I have had ten minutes to actually sit down and write a blog. I was very proud of myself because I had written a blog for 260 straight days, little did I know we were going to get 2 major hurricanes in two weeks that would prevent me from writing these. There was no power, internet, gas, water, sewer-so I think I have a pretty good excuse. I have 73 until the completion of this project and hopefully I will write a blog post a day. I refuse to dwell on these storms too much because even though it is a massive part of my life and i losg a lot, there's people out there that lost way more and I can't disrespect them by complaining.
The Artwork-I think this guy is from the Nightmare Before Christmas, but I could be wrong. He's got a weird shaped body with freaky eyes and mouth. This was a weird one. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam,
it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win! The total on 10/22/24 is $130.
Today I will be starting a new workout routine to finish this year off. It's 100/100/100. Basically I will do 100 push ups, 100 sit ups and 100 minutes on the elliptical machine all in one sitting. I will start off doing 1/1/1 then going from there. But they always have to be the same number so I can't do 10 push ups and 12 sit ups; and I can never go back-on once I'm up to 20, I can't do 19 the next day. As of last night the count was 1/1/1. I have until 1/3/25 to complete this challenge.I figure if I just add one or two reps a day I will eventually get there. I'm not doing this challenge to “get big” or lose weight but I am curious if I will lose weight. I currently weigh 194.3 pounds.
