The (Almost) Hurricane Aftermath

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know,this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.

Still kind of dealing with this tropical storm so this one will also be short. I just think its so crazy the amount of wind and rain and flooding that's going on. In Sarasota there has been 16” of rain in 24 hours, that seems like a lot. I'm so happy and blessed and lucky that we are ok and don't have a lot to deal with compared to other people. As a company we had to reschedule all the jobs this morning because there were two major bridges and one major highway shut down. But the main reason is about half of our employees called out because they had no electricity and a couple were stranded in their neighborhood because of flooding. I can't blame or be mad at them. When the governor of the state declares an emergency-there's a reason why. All the clients were understanding and rescheduled but they were in the same boat we were. One of them had 4’ of water in their parking lot so there was no way we could have done that move.

The Artwork-I've got to toot my own horn on this one. He looks pretty good. It's a Minion but he's dressed up as a king. Let's start from the top. He has a cool looking crown with lots of jewels. Then he must have a hat on but I love how it's that royal purple. His eyes are two different colors which I think is normal for Minions but then to make the outfit complete he has on this amazing looking royal robe. You can tell the outside is red and the inside is purple. I really liked drawing this one. I hope you enjoy it! 

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible.
