I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
I've been watching the Olympics lately and it still amazes me when I think about the journey most of these athletes have to go through in order to compete in the games. And not just the Olympics but really any type of professional sport like baseball or basketball or football or any sport where you get paid to play. I grew up with a guy named Derek who was amazing at everything sports related he did. He was always the MVP of the tournament and his team always won the championship; he made everyone around him better. We would play baseball for hours on end and I remember one time he kept hitting home runs and we would have to jump the fence to get the ball; so to make it fair for us and so we didn't have to keep chasing the ball, we made him hit left handed-guess what he did? He kept hitting home runs! And he wasn't even left handed! The point of this little story is he did his best to go pro and only made it to like AA MLB- which is like the second best major league team. It just makes me wonder how good these people have to be to be the best in the world? How much natural talent you must first have, then they must practice for millions of hours. And then they have to compete with all the other athletes from the entire world who want to be better than them. It's pretty impressive and I tip my hat to everyone who can compete at those highest levels. And on a side note-USA! USA! USA!
The Artwork-I forgot what cartoon this guy is from but he is pretty cool. I'm not a fan of the brown and gray drab colors. His eyes are amazing. They might be the biggest eyes I ever had to draw. I do like the little bits of pink in his ears and on his front nails. His giant fluffy tail sure tells a tale. I love how he's guarding the walnut with his life and with his big front teeth. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 8/6/24 is $49.
