I hope you enjoy these. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
Have you ever noticed there are certain movies that you might not watch the entire movie but you alway watch the ending? There's a few for me. Most of them are when the “goog: guys win and everything is fine in make believe land. Legally Blonde is one. Where Elle Woods traps Chutney (played by a young Linda Cardellini) on the witness stand and gets her to confess. The good people won here. Another is The Godfather. When Michael sets up the five families to get assassinated so he can consolidate power. I can watch these scenes everyday. The people who won were not necessarily “good” guys but the characters we were rooting for came out on top. The end of Ocean's Thirteen where Mr. Ocean orchestrates and takes out the new casino set up by Al Pacino's character. Of course Seven with Brad Pitt. not really a good ending for the bad guy but a great ending for the audience. The Departed, once again nor a good ending for the good guys by Mark Walberg made things right with Matt Damon. Django Unchained where Jamie Foxx burns that old slave house to the ground-the good guy definitely won in this movie. My favorite might be POnce Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tarantino tackles what in real life was a tragedy and makes us get some good feeling about what could have been. Brad Pitt was excellent in the last ten minutes of this movie. The Usual suspect when we find out who Kaiser Saze really is. Flight when Denzel Washington almost gets away with years of lies and self deception but grows a conscience and has to face the consequences of his previous actions. On a side not-the plane scene at the beginning of that movie is some of the best ten minutes in cinema history. Gone baby Gone when Morgan Freeman finally gets his comeuppance. Trading Places where Winthorp and Valentine put the Dukes in the poor house while simultaneously getting rich all for a $1.00 bet. The end of Coming to America where he opens the bride's ceil and it is his queen from Queens. I could go on and on but Ill stop here. These are a lot of movies I watch the ending to no matter what.
The Artwork-This is one of my best ones. It's Gizmo from the 1984 smash hit Gremlins. I remember my Mom buying me a short with this guy on it and I cherished that shirt. But look at this drawing-it's almost perfect!!! His eyes and mouth convey the great person he is. The proportions of the ears and body are perfect. The colors are spot on and overall he looks identical to any drawing I've seen from the actual movie. I am proud of this one. I am extremely proud of this one.
Day 55 of the elliptical-I took the day off and broke my diet and enjoyed a lot of food!!!
