The Forty Second One 2/14/24

Happy Valentine's Day!!!! It's my sixth favorite holiday, right behind Labor day.

Today's blog is not really about moving but something I've been thinking about.

We all have problems. But about ten years ago I ran into a problem that was not good no matter how you slice it. That's when I realized that most of our problems can be fixed with money and if money cant fix it-that's a real problem.  Think about it. Think about all your problems. Now if I were to give you say $10million-would that fix all your problems? Hopefully yes. If money will fix all of your life's problems then consider yourself lucky. Because eventually you're going to run into a problem that all the money in the world won't fix and then you're going to find out what real problems are. When my MIL got diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, it didn't matter if I had $10Billion, money wasn't going to fix this and it didn't. The same day she passed away the roof of my house caved in, yeah this really happened and it sucked, not the best day to say the least. Now this is a problem that could and was fixed with money (the money was not easy to get but we found it somehow.) One day I was pumping gas and two guys on parole decided I looked at them wrong or something and attacked me and broke my eye socket. Money could have helped but all the money in the world would not have made that pain go away any faster nor would all the money in the world give me my dignity back. But they were eventually arrested and had to pay me $1000 or they would have gone back to prison. I always regret that because I could have got them to pay a lot more, I'm not a vindictive person (not really pertinent to this story but whatever).

The Artwork-It's Goofy-my favorite Cow!?!?!  That's right I said cow! Most people think he's a dog but according to one of the guys who voiced him-he's a cow. Though this is still a long standing debate, I'm sticking with cow. I like the artwork itself. The hat came out nice with a distinct green color and there's even a highlight on the nose.

 Day 43 and not a word from my family as to why I've abruptly stopped drawing after doing it everyday for a year.
