The Ninth One 1/13/24

Another fun but not too active day here at Swift Moves. We moved the neighbors offices yesterday with no problem. They finished up about 715 PM, which meant the job took about 13 hours. No problem. The guys were happy and more importantly the client was happy.

People always ask me why I started a moving company. Its not that this is always what I dreamed of, but to put myself through college I worked for a moving company that eventually offered me a job in management. It was a great company to work for, they taught me everything. So after I did some other things (I was on television for seven years but that a different story) I decided to do my own thing and this was really all I knew how to do from the ground up. I started the company with a minimal amount of money and now I have a small fleet of trucks, a nice building (six blocks from where I went to college and my wife still works) with 9000 square feet of storage and enjoy what I do everyday.

Moving Tip-If you hire a company that you are paying hourly and you are concerned about the price, the more you do the less expensive it will be. I try to tell everyone the ideal situation is to have everything packed up and sitting in one main room where we can just go grab everything from that one spot and put it on the trucks. We don't have a problem doing everything but time is money and the less we have o do the more money you will save.

The artwork is the first one I did that has color in it. Its just a tad bit but I started using a lot more color after this picture.

Day ten and no one in my family has asked me why I have not drawn another picture. Like I have an entire art studio set up on the kitchen table that I used everyday for a year and then just stopped.
