FIRST THING FIRST-WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!! Someone called in yesterday and claimed the $61 prize. Stay tuned, I will offer more chances to win in the coming days.
Man oh man we can sure feel the dog days of Summer creeping up on us.
It's getting sunnier a little later but it's definitely hanging around longer plus you can kind of feel the humidity. The pollen moths dropped out of the tree last week (people in Florida know what I'm talking about) so that's a sure sign spring is starting. But other signs include Canadian license plates everywhere and just way more traffic on all the roads. I don't think locals realize how lucky we are to have one of the premier Spring break spots in the world in our backyard. We get more families coming here rather than college kids so we don't have to deal with all the fights and shenanigans Miami seems to be going through. The slower months in the moving business are Dec-Feb and those days are definitely over! Business is starting to pick up a little bit and there's just an overall feeling of a tidal wave of something coming for the Summer time. Let's hope we ride the wave rather than drown. More than anything, let's hope the heat is not like it was last summer. Last year I think it was 300 degrees most of July and August. I've talked to a lot of people and they said they felt the same thing, that last year was just brutal.
The Artwork-I like this one but she creeps me out a little bit. The proportions and the colors look good but the eyes make me think she is going to explore the possibility of burying my body somewhere. I like her little bracelet and backpack though.
Day 70 and not one person from my family has asked why I have not drawn one drawing after drawing one everyday for a year straight. I was even on the phone discussing this blog in front of my daughter and she still didnt say anything.
(Someone has won the $61 prize, please keep reading for more chances to win!!!)
