The Seventy Sixth One 3/19/24

If you read these please start from the first day.

They say the first day of spring is today 3/19/24. Call me crazy and I've talked to other people but hasn't it always been on the 20th or 21st? Maybe because of Leap Year it's a day early, that's all I can think of. I always liked the beginning of spring. Even though we live in Florida where there are not really seasons, Spring still represents the opening of new possibilities and the promise of a great year. Let's hope that holds true. For moving company owners the first day of Spring is like this great weight lifted off of our shoulders because Winter is always the slow season and it means we have made it through one more year of wondering if the doors will still be open after a brutal end of last year. And I promise it's not just me, almost every moving company owner goes through the same nail biting every year. I'm glad we made it.

The Artwork-Sometimes I would look for easy things to draw because of time crunches and then they end up taking just as long, this was an example, It's just a little ghost but he still took a while to draw. I still love it. With the eyebrows, hands up, tongue in that weird but perfect position, only a top row of sharp teeth plus the little details like the black in the back of his throat and little bit of blue shading makes this guy awesome. His body is not perfectly round but you have no idea how long it takes to make a round head. Making round heads probably took up most of my time last year when I was drawing, lots of erasing. 

Day 75 and not one person from my family has asked why I have not drawn one drawing after drawing one everyday for a year straight. My wife even asked if I was going to put my art supplies away!!!! She never once asked me why I stopped drawing!
