The Sixty First One 3/4/24

If you read these please start from the first day.

I used to work for a television station selling jewelry. It was in St. Pete and kind of like The Home Shopping Network (which also started in St. Pete by the way) but not as corporate. The owner grew this place from like two employees to about 175-200. I loved this job. I started off answering phones then eventually I became a television host then a manager then back to host then about ten other jobs. I worked there for about 7 years. The point of this story is the boss was not the nicest guy but now that I'm a business owner I understand the way he acted. But he used to tell us three things almost everyday that I will explain in the next few days; I'm really spreading it out to create some content!

The first thing he would always say is-“Don't Assume”. I can't count the number of times here at the moving company someone has told me “ I assumed you called this person” or “ I assumed he got my message” and whatever they assumed was not correct and it caused lots of problems.  Don't assume stuff! It will only cause problems and it is so easy to just double check with whoever and get your facts correct. I know everyone has heard this expression a million times and there is a reason for it. Assuming stuff is just trying to make it where you don't have to take one extra step and actually verify something. So rule number one-DON'T ASSUME!

The Artwork-I like this one but it's not my favorite. It was definitely the hardest one I had to draw all year. Getting the circle to go around perfectly was a huge challenge and I still never got it right.

Day 63 and not a word from my family as to why I abruptly stopped drawing after doing it everyday for a year.
