I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
I've mentioned it before and I'll say it again that living in St. Pete is awesome but one of the most awesome things I ever got to do was walk to the World Series. The actual MLB World Series! The year was 2008. The Rays had finally reached the World series by way of the most improbable comebacks in baseball history. My wife and I lived in downtown St. Pete at the time. The stadium is about two miles from our house so we decided to walk instead of driving because parking would have sucked. This was way before Uber. It's not too long or interesting of a story but it fills space and it was cool to me. The Rays lost that game and lost the Series but it was really memorable for me. It was one of the last big things my wife and I did together before we had our daughter, then life changed a lot. No, she wasn't pregnant at the time we walked. The walk itself was pretty cool. The streets were packed the entire way you could feel this magical vibe radiating from the streets. Fergs was packed, there had to be 20,000 people there. But that year I got to go to their first two playoff games, game seven of the ALCS where they beat the Red Sox and the first game of the World Series. I just wish they would have won the Series. I'm not even going to type who they actually pl;ayed because I'm still sore about it 16 years later. You can look it up if you want to know so bad.
The Artwork-An usual one today. It's a cartoon cannon that I think is from Mario Bros. It's one of the only ones I drew that was an inanimate object. Maybe it's not inanimate because it does have an eye. I love how the wick is lit and ready to fire a cannonball. I do like his little furrowed yet confused eyebrows, it does give a little life to an otherwise non living object. The wheels are cool also. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 9/4/24 is $76.
In about two weeks I will be starting a new workout routine to finish this year off. I'm really going to challenge myself and I am not sure if I will be able to physically do it.
