I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send you a framed copy.
When I was a younger man back in the early 2000’s during my 20’s I got to go to a nice amount pof concerts. My favorite ones were the free ones I went to in Downtown St. Pete. There's a concert venue called Jannus landing in the main part of downtown. The venue is in the middle of the main block with all the bars so the venue is in the middle and on all sides there are bars and restaurants. There's a bar that has been there forever called Mastrys. If you walk through the bar there's a back porch area that's right besides the wall for Janus where you can hear the concerts. But twenty years ago there was a huge dumpster/recycling machine that you could sit on top of and watch the concerts. It wasn't some really dirty and disgusting dumpster. So my friends and I and a lot of other locals would climb on top and watch concerts for free. I saw Snoop Dogg, Ministry, Sum 4q and lots of other bands for free-it was pretty awesome. But of course someone messed it up for everyone else. Some drunk guy fell off of the dumpster (which was probably ten feet in the air) and had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. What made it bad and sad is everyone saw this guy fall off the dumpster but everyone assumed someone else called the ambulance. But no one called an ambulance. So this guy laid there for probably 20 minutes before someone realized what was going on and took action. After that they put up barriers so no one could climb up there and see free concerts. We were always surprised it lasted this long and always questioned why they never put up barriers before. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.
The Artwork-This may be the weirdest most unrecognizable one I drew last year. I don't know anything about him/her or where they came from and I have never seen this character anywhere on TV or the internet before or since. With his giant smile and weird button eyes and tentacle/feathers coming out of his head he looks happy. Not a lot to say about this one. I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 9/5/24 is $76.
In about 10 days I will be starting a new workout routine to finish this year off. I'm really going to challenge myself and I am not sure if I will be able to physically do it. I'm calling it the 100 in 100 challenge. Details to come later.
