Ther Time Ben and I Walked Ten Miles to Belton Dam

I remember one day me and my friend Ben were bored and asked his Mom what to do and she told us “why don't you walk to the dam?” The dam s part of Belton Lake and was always pretty cool to drive across. It's like a ten mile walk and took us like 6 hours. I remember we had some fanny packs with a tennis ball and lots of other random items a 12 yr old would have and like $5.00. It was hot and it was the best. We had no time limit, just the idea in our head that this would be a good time-and it was. We did have two different people we knew stop and see if we needed a ride, that was nice. We finally got there and it was night time. The dam is like one big hill on one side and I remember rolling down this entire hill. It really was like 100 feet down. I have no idea how I survived a lot of this stuff. Rolling down a 100’ hill was pretty tame for us back in those days. When we finally got there we called his Mom and she came and picked us up. It took about 15 minutes to drive home. 

The Artwork-I'm not sure but I think I have drawn this guy before or I might draw him later in the year. But he's a cool cat. His sword and cape look cool, his eyebrows and eyes make him look like he's up to something but more than anythingI really like the shade of blue in his eyes, cape and belt. I hope you enjoy it!

Day 53 of the elliptical-Day 36 (out of 60) of 60 minutes straight on the elliptical. I did 30 minutes on level seven and then 30 minutes on level 8. It was a little harder than the day before.  I'm slowly getting to that 9 setting, but we will get there soon enough.
