The 232nd One 8/27/24

I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.

I've been asked back to my previous job by three different employers. What I mean by this is I put in my notice at a job, got another job and then my previous employer asked me to come back and work for them for more money. When I was 17 I had a job as a cook at Market street Cafe in temple Texas and after about two years I needed a change of pace so I got another job. That job didn't pan out so I actually worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken for a few months when my old boss, the owner of the Market Street, actually came to my job at KFC and asked if I wanted to come back. I should have asked for more money but I didn't and I went back to work there pretty fast because KFC isn't the funnest job. Then when I was 21 I had a job at a moving company (that shall remain nameless because they are still my competitors) where I started as a helper then moved up to a driver but at the same time I was going to school. After I got a little schooling under my belt the moving job just didn't fit with me at the time so I got another job doing something. The owner of the moving company called me and asked if I wanted to come back and be in management, which I gladly accepted. This is where I learned a tremendous amount of stuff about business in general and about the moving business. I should have asked for more money. Lastly I worked for a television  station selling jewelry and after about four years I got burned out so I got a job in sales at a container place (that shall remain nameless because they are still my competitors). I worked there for about five months when the manager of the television station asked me back to be in management. I gladly accepted and it was probably the funnest job I ever had. I should have asked for more money.

So that's three different jobs where I did such a good job they asked me back when I left. What does this say about me? It says I do a good job and am dependable and I apparently do it for a reasonable salary. I don't usually like to brag or toot my own horn but when it comes to working, I'm pretty good at whatever I do and I take a lot of pride in that.

Artwork-This is the character Fear from the movie Inside Out and possibly Inside Out 2. He's a weird looking fellow but I definitely enjoyed drawing him. I like his suit with his cute little tie and sweater that covers up his button up business shirt. His left hand is a little out of proportion but the rest of him lines up. I absolutely love the eyebrows above his head, only in a cartoon. But I really love how you can tell what he represents (fear) by his facial and hand expressions. Plus the colors match up perfectly. I hope you enjoy it!

Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!

The total on 8/27/24 is $69.
