When I was 9 years old I went on a trip with my cousin and Uncle and Aunt. Me and my ten day older cousin flew to New York in the Summer of 1988 then after we stayed there for a few days we drove to Colorado. We were in a camper attached to a minivan. This was pre cell phone so we had to keep ourselves occupied the entire trip. My cousin and I sat in the camper while my Aunt and Uncle sat up front in the van. We had a signal set to open a side window so the driver would see it and pull over. We actually had to use the system because we kept hearing this really weird thumping sound-it turned out to be a flat tire. But that's not the point of this story.
It took like three days to drive across the country and for some reason we were both fascinated with Lamborghinis at that time. It was a pretty big portion of our conversation. We eventually went to a little town in the Rockies called Estes Park. It's the only time I've been to the Rockies. The second day we were there we went to “town” and to our shock and amazement there's a Lamborghini Countach driving down the road. We went crazy because it was the first time we actually saw one in person. Then we walk about a block down and there's like this tourist attraction selling rides in a Lamborghini Countach for $20!!! (which is about $53 today, I just looked it up). So at 9 years old I got to ride in a red Lamborghini Countach for about 15 minutes. I remember the guy saying “look we're going 100, but now as I think back it was probably kilometers per hour, not miles per hour. I had a picture forever with my little face looking out the tiny window but I don't know where the picture is now. That's pretty much the entire story. Not really a story but a memory of mine. I never got to ride in another one until about two years ago when Swift Moves was moving this gigantic mansion and the owner had one. One morning he was pulling it out of the garage and gave me a ride, it was awesome. I posted it on line, but Facebook took it down for some reason. All I could figure out is like they said it was dangerous because I shouldn't be driving and posting at the same time-it was actually kind of weird. This time he actually did go 100MPH and the G-Forces pushed me back in the seat, it was like riding in a fighter jet. I might have been 43 but I felt like a 9 year old for those 20 minutes. It was awesome!
The Artwork-Ok I think we all know who this fella is. It's Chucky!!! My daughters friend came over one night and had this on his shirt. When he left like an hour later I had drawn this. But the drawing itself is awesome!!! Notice the knife in his hand and how it has a reflective surface-that's like my proudest part of this one. It took me a while to figure out how to make that reflective look, I think it's just a lighter shade of blue. He has a lot of hair. Besides the knife in his hand the eyes, mouth and stitches in his head make him look like not a nice person. But the baby clothes are what really creeps people out about this character. Overall there are lots of colors in this one so i loved making it, the more colors the better.
Day 38 of the elliptical-Day 21 (out of 60) of 60 minutes straight on the elliptical. I did all 60 minutes on setting 5 yesterday, it was not easy. I'm going to cruise on setting five for a few days before I begin to creep up to six. Then I'll slowly move up to where I can do an entire hour on setting 9, which is the hardest setting.
