For those like myself who grew up in the 1980’s and were raised by the best babysitter of all-the television-do you remember how almost every sitcom had that “very special episode?” It was usually a two parter, usually the last two episodes of the season and always contained some serious subject matter like drug abuse or bulimia. . That's not what I'm writing about but kind of close. I've been watching reruns of “Different Strokes” lately and it kind of seems like the special episodes were almost the tamer of all the shows. I've watched four episodes, none of which were “special” and everyone made it seem like Arnold and Willis would have been better off staying in Harlem. The first one Mr Willis was insistent that Arnold invite this girl to his birthday party against Arnolds wishes and in the end it turned out the little girl was dying from cancer. The next one Sam kept wetting his bed and people were making fun of him for it (that one wasn't so bad). The next one Arnold witnesses a crime and the crooks threaten to kill him and his entire family if he tells the police. In another one Arnold finds out he want be taller than like four feet tall and is all depressed. These episodes just to me seemed like hard core tears causing dramas, not sitcoms. And these are just like the first four I watched! Ok I realize stretching a lot to write today's blog but whatever. Are you paying for it? No! Does it make any difference in your life? No! So stop complaining and read my very elementary criticism of my own artwork below.
The Artwork-This dudes cool. It's a shark but I don't know where it is from. Whatever he is you can tell he's got his stuff together. Arms crossed, cool but mischievous smile and red eyes that look right through you but at the same time right at you to let you know not to mess around or you will get eaten by this guy. I like him. I hope you do too.
Day 37 of the elliptical-Day 20 (out of 60) of 60 minutes straight on the elliptical. I did about half on setting four and half on setting five. Let me tell you-the difference between settings 1-2, not so much, 2-3 not so much, 3-4 not so much but between 4-5 is a major difference. It got pretty real yesterday-but I got it done. Ill probably do half and half again tonight and slowly move up to where I can do an entire hour on setting 9 which is the hardest setting.
