The Thirty Second One-2/4/24

If you read these please start from the first day.

I'm not going to talk about the moving company today. I'm going to talk about the artwork. To me it's very inspiring and Ill tell you why. If you look at my artwork from the very first day until today, there is a pretty big improvement and its only been a month. That's why I love America. I was taught in school that anything is possible and this art project I'm doing now kind of proves it. We have the internet, a house, Amazon to order the supplies, time, inspiration and lots of other factors that I don't know would be possible without this great country we live in. Yes, I know this country has lots of flaws but in the long run it's set up to help people succeed.  Before I drew my very first piece a month before this one I had zero experience drawing. Zero. None. Nada. Zip. But by working like an hour or two a night I am now able to draw these characters.  All I did was go on-line and look at videos and learn. If I can do this- anyone can do almost anything. I still have to work like 50 hours a week, cook for two kids, take them to school and pick them up everyday and live a normal life. But if you dedicate yourself to something, you can do it. Doing this year long art project is probably the most self satisfying thing I've ever done. I want someone, anyone to look at this and think “if this unskilled old man can do this, I can do whatever.” So to recap-I came to Florida 25 years ago with nothing (you would know this if you read yesterday's post), went to school and got a bachelor's degree, have been married for almost 18 years, have the two best children in the world, started a business and taught myself to draw. No one “gave” me any of this. It's just by hard work, being honest, asking for help when I needed it and realizing everyday is a gift so make the most of it that I was able to do all of this. I'm calling this entire project “America”. It's divided into like 340-350 different individual days or pieces that you can call whatever you want. If anyone wants one of these pieces just send me a message and I will send it to you for free to hang on your wall. I'll even pay for shipping and frame it for you.

The Artwork-I thought this one came out as perfect as could be. The colors are perfect, the eyes match up, he's got on a little beret-what else do you need. Its Donald Duck, way better than my Mickey Mouse drawing. 

Day 32 and not a word from my family as to why I've abruptly stopped drawing after doing it everyday for a year.
