I hope you enjoy these. For anyone who doesnt know, this is a year long project for myself where I write a blog entry a day. The artwork is something I did last year. Before 1/3/23 I had never drawn one thing in my entire life and then one day I decided to teach myself to draw and drew like 350 pictures last year. It's not just for me but also for Swift Moves in hopes of getting our rankings up on search engines. Does it work? Who knows. If anyone enjoys the artwork I post and wants me to send them an original, let me know and I'll send it to you in a frame.
Do you ever wonder what happened to that guy David you went to high school with 25 years ago? Or that girl Brenda you dated in the 11th grade? Oh you don't because you see them on social media all the time? This is a new thing. I moved out of my hometown in 1998 and up until about 2007 I always wondered what happened to a lot of my classmates from the 1997 graduation year. Up until about 2012 if you need to get a hold of someone you better hope Jean works with Cherry and knows Dan who can get you David's phone number. But it's so different now. We all keep track of each other through social media-mostly Facebook. I remember in 2007 I was looking for a lot of my old classmates and did lots of Google searches and found a few but mostly had no luck. Then Facebook came along and I reconnected with lots of people. It's pretty cool and a huge advancement of society as a whole. It used to be “what happened to Dave? No one knows? I guess we'll never see him again”. But now it's like “What happened to Dave? I don't know, give me three minutes and I'll find out.” Three minutes later…..”Dave lives on the western face of a mountain in Sweden only accessible by a donkey ride and five mile hike but he has two kids, he works three days a week as realtor, enjoys skiing and just got remarried.” To me this is amazing. Kids born after like 2005 will never know what it's like not to be able to get ahold of someone once they quit a job, or change schools or move.
The Artwork-I have no clue where this guy is from but I love him. I think his name is Spooney or I might have made that up because that's what name looks like. His eyes are weird, there's no nose, his eyebrows are way off center, his hands make no sense; but for some reason his feet are perfectly normal. Gotta love it! I hope you enjoy it!
Contest-This is an ongoing contest. It's a weird thing. On 6/27/24 we started with $10 then everyday I'm adding $1. The first person to call in or comment or message gets the money. Here's the kicker. You can either call in right now and get $10 (or whatever it happens to be this day) or wait till the next day when the money goes up. I think I have like 175 days left so the pot can get up to almost $200. It's free money, it's not a scam, it's in the marketing budget. No employees or employee families are eligible. I hope you win!
The total on 7/13/24 is $26.
